Hetex is presently managed by Richard B. Britton, president and founder. Mr. Britton holds a BA in physics from the University of Virginia and has worked in research and development at the Newport News Shipbuilding Company, White Sands Proving Grounds in New Mexico, the Research Laboratory for the Engineering Sciences at UVA, Ion Physics Corporation - a subsidiary of High Voltage Engineering Corporation in Burlington, MA and Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY. He has been granted 14 patents related to superconductors, SC circuitry for AC-to-DC conversion and powering SC magnets, thermo-electric powering of SC magnets, SC electro-magnets for particle focusing, vacuum pumps, spheroidal rotary valve for engines, and recuperative engines.
