Engines Inc. is a small research company with the mission
to develop and market an engine that will provide higher gas mileage
for automobiles. Overall, we are developing engines that are both
more efficient and less expensive for the portable power needs
of society.
|
| Portable
power drives the world's mechanisms such as automobiles, SUVs, pickups,
motorcycles, tractor trailer trucks, locomotives, tractors and farm
machinery, aircraft, model airplanes, tugboats, ships, lawnmowers,
chainsaws, leaf blowers, auxiliary electric power plants, forklifts,
bulldozers, backhoes and many other mechanical devices. Four-stroke
engines as devised by Nikolaus A. Otto in 1876 dominate these small
to medium power products where long life, low cost, and low fuel
consumption are more important. The smaller mechanisms which include
model aircraft, leaf blowers, chainsaws, outboard motors, and motorbikes
generally use gasoline powered, two-stroke engines as devised by
Robson in 1877 and 1880 and later improved by Day and Clerk. Two-stroke
engines produce high power-to-weight at low cost per HP. |
